Written by Shaheer Majeed

Following are some reasons we are hoping this year’s Coke Studio will be bit more different from its previous spell.

1. Krewella makes ‘Coke Studio’ debut

Coke Studio season 11 is giving chance to new genres and fusion artists on the basis of their unique style. This also marks the debut of Pakistani-American band, Krewella. They were all set to perform in Islamabad later dismissed due to security concerns. We hope to see unexpected outing from them in the show.

2. Ahad Raza Mir can sing!

Is there anything this man can’t do? While his appearance was definitely a pleasant surprise but this isn’t the first time an actor has revealed their vocals, Mehwish Hayat and Ayesha Omar have also lent their voice in previous seasons.

3. Transgender singers make their way to the stage

According to their words, Coke Studio promised to bring out diversity and a way to reveal different style but when we saw a transgender duo, Lucky and Naghma, their words came true. Coke Studio is the only media platform in Pakistan where the intersex community have their made debut.

4. New talent

One thing the show always reveals is the new talent. The faces you were watching from last 10 seasons of Coke Studio was also a great amount of new talent. We spotted Sounds of Kolachi finally making their debut to Coke Studio 11 with Khumariyaan, Rapper young Des, Lyari Undeground and The Sketches as well.

 5. Diversity

The producers directed towards artists and poetry from all across the Pakistan. These involves a wide range towards the Coke Studio’s future and a healthful season.
